Galik – Fantone Wedding | Jennifer M Photography | Wedding Photographer Akron Oh

We were all lucky enough to have one of the prettiest days to be a part of Mike and Angela’s wedding. We started at Angela’s parents house in Brecksville and then headed down the street a bit to their church, which is also in Brecksville. The quaint charm of the downtown area was perfect for our pictures. As many of the cars drove by they honked to support the new union of this wonderful new husband and wife. After downtown we headed to the local park near the train stop, also just minutes away. For the reception we had the privilege of shooting at the always beautiful Bertram Inn.

Thank you so much to Mike and Angela for choosing us to be a part of your special day!

Liz and Dan’s Engagement Session in Peninsula, Ohio

Despite crazy schedules and uncooperative weather, the three of us were able to successfully meet up for an engagement shoot on probably one of the prettiest mornings in November. Dan and Liz’s bubbly personalities kept me shooting away and I think shows through in many of the photographs. I am looking forward to shooting their wedding which coincidentally is taking place on my birthday next year! What a fun way to celebrate!

Fort Worth, Texas Travel

On the way home from the Houston trip that I blogged about below, I made a stop in Dallas/Fort Worth. The land was beautiful, the scenery lush, and the cowboys…well…something to be reckoned with! Big trucks, big hats, and tall boots seemed to surround me everywhere and I was eating up every last morsel. I never realized how much I like that southern charm until I was personally in the midst of it. When I entered a few of the shops there I was automatically greeted with the southern drawl, “Well, howdy ma’am! What can we do fer ya today?” I smiled graciously and said with the little (or no) charm that us northerners have, “Just looking for some cowboy boots for my nephew Wyatt, thanks!”
When I arrived in downtown Fort Worth unbeknownst to me the cowboys walk the longhorn steer every morning and afternoon from the pen to the rodeo which is down the street. What I loved the most about this was the real life cowboys on their horses! I felt like I was on the set of a John Wayne movie! I have to admit, I have never met a real cowboy in person. They rode their horses and kept the steer moving where they needed to go. For a northerner like myself, this was quite a spectacle. I’m sure I looked like such a tourist with my big camera in hand, eyes wide open, huge smile plastered on my face, in awe of a few cows? Oh well, I’m corny, I know. But I liked it!

Beautiful Leilani Adelle New(ish)born Photoshoot in Houston, TX

Leilani Adelle is the beautiful baby girl of my gorgeous cousin Aja. She and her husband Ross live in Houston and I had the pleasure of taking a trip down to visit them. Leilani, who is now five weeks old, is still young enough that she sleeps a lot but when she was awake she would stare at me and coo and do those cute little baby whimpers. I have to say, there is something therapeutic about having a sleeping baby on your chest. I hope you enjoy viewing these pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them! xoxo ~ Jenn

Kelley & Matthew Engaged in Houston, TX

When Kelley and Matthew met sparks were immediately flying.  Matthew, an engineer, and Kelley, a fine artist in ceramics, bring science and art together perfectly through their love for each other. Getting to do this shoot was special to me because I have known Kelley for over ten years and consider her a very close friend. Shortly after they met when she began telling me about Matthew, I knew that he was very special and was going to be in her life for a very long time. Thank you for letting me document your wonderful commitment for one another. I look forward to seeing it flourish over many years to come.

Beth & Chris’ Rockin’ Wedding at the House of Blues, Cleveland

I don’t know where to begin with this wedding. It was the epitome of music and rock. Beth and Chris bonded with me right off the bat because they sensed our kindred creative spirits. She said she was looking for someone specifically who has a very creative edge both personally and in their photography. I felt, and still feel, very honored for them to have chosen me to be that perfect match for such a special day.

The day began upstairs in one of the private VIP rooms at the House of Blues. The ceremony took place on the stage and the reception was throughout the entire grand ballroom. In the middle of the day we had the chance to head down the street to shoot outside of the Rock Hall. They chose to have a live hair band for their reception entertainment, and boy did they entertain! Beth took center stage for a good part of the party and the rest of the wedding party joined as part of the band.

This entirely musical day was truly filled with good, good vibes. It was an honor and a privilege to attend and especially be trusted to document the wonderful event of Beth & Chris’ union. Thank you Beth and Chris!

Melissa & Sean’s Wedding at St. Sebastian’s and the Sheraton

Melissa and Sean had a beautiful wedding from beginning to end. Everyone prepared for the day at the Sheraton Inn & Suites in Cuyahoga Falls and then headed to the ceremony at St. Sebastian’s where Sean has attended almost his entire life. I was lucky to be able to come back to the Sheraton, a place I love to shoot and has always taken great care of the weddings and receptions that they host.

For this particular blog post I decided to include quite a few more detail shots than I normally do, but thanks to Neil Leeson Florist who is out of Akron, I had so many detail pictures to take! A couple other vendors that were an integral part of the success of this day were the West Side Bakery (wedding cake, photographed), Joshua Tree Productions (videography), and Eileen Benson (wedding consulting).

Amber & Rob Engagement Session at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens

Amber chose the Cleveland Botanical Gardens as her location because she did part of her internship there. We were very excited about the great overcast day and the perfect lighting until we got all the way out and there was a torrential downpour! Luckily we sought refuge in the kids tower where we had to wait it out. It was not an ordinary rain, it was a monsoon, so we were not going anywhere until it settled down. I am thoroughly looking forward to your wedding later this month at the Croatian Lodge!
