My picture on the cover of a Cleveland Maternity Magazine!

image001 391x600 My picture on the cover of a Cleveland Maternity Magazine!
This photograph was taken last August, 2011 and at my backyard “outdoor” studio.

I have to admit, it feels pretty darn cool to see my image on the cover of a magazine. It was even cooler when I actually received the magazines and saw them in print. This really inspires me to keep the pictures snapping away and trying my best to get published!

Wyatt’s 6 month photoshoot!

As many of you may know, Wyatt is my precious little love of a nephew. He lights up my day whenever I get to see him, and I’m pretty sure I do the same for him too since he is always all smiles when he sees me!

I never truly understood the joy of taking a nap until I took a nap with him. He fell asleep on me the other day as I was humming “You are my sunshine.” Then, before I knew it, I had rocked myself to sleep as well, lol! He laid there on my chest for probably two or more hours, as innocent as innocence can possibly be. He really is my sunshine and I’m so happy that my brother and Brittany brought him into this world! Xoxo, Auntie

Fort Worth, Texas Travel

On the way home from the Houston trip that I blogged about below, I made a stop in Dallas/Fort Worth. The land was beautiful, the scenery lush, and the cowboys…well…something to be reckoned with! Big trucks, big hats, and tall boots seemed to surround me everywhere and I was eating up every last morsel. I never realized how much I like that southern charm until I was personally in the midst of it. When I entered a few of the shops there I was automatically greeted with the southern drawl, “Well, howdy ma’am! What can we do fer ya today?” I smiled graciously and said with the little (or no) charm that us northerners have, “Just looking for some cowboy boots for my nephew Wyatt, thanks!”
When I arrived in downtown Fort Worth unbeknownst to me the cowboys walk the longhorn steer every morning and afternoon from the pen to the rodeo which is down the street. What I loved the most about this was the real life cowboys on their horses! I felt like I was on the set of a John Wayne movie! I have to admit, I have never met a real cowboy in person. They rode their horses and kept the steer moving where they needed to go. For a northerner like myself, this was quite a spectacle. I’m sure I looked like such a tourist with my big camera in hand, eyes wide open, huge smile plastered on my face, in awe of a few cows? Oh well, I’m corny, I know. But I liked it!

Into the Bitter Cold

The bitterness of the cold weather doesn’t always have to be so bitter. It has been a miserably wet blizzard the past couple days. Schools have been closed, people getting stuck in their driveways, businesses shut down, dry skin, sore joints, just to start, but this morning I woke up and to my pleasant surprise I saw… (pause) the sun. One beautiful part of winter and snow is when the sun comes out and little specs of sparkly snowflakes begin to sprinkle across untouched landscapes. I saw this as a perfect opportunity to share a picture, or two, or several. I hope you enjoy my take on this blistery little piece of Heaven. Warm Regards, Jennifer M.

MY HALLOWEEN MUTTS!

I’m not a huge fan of dressing your dogs up in little outfits, like a tutu or a sweater, or whatever people come up with these days, but I COULD NOT RESIST DRESSING THEM UP FOR HALLOWEEN! I think these are hilarious! The only thing better than seeing them in these pictures is seeing them in person! Taylor walks around like she is a SUPER DOG! And Tank doesn’t know if he going or coming, if he’s a dog or a pumpkin! It’s sooo funny and I thought I would share these special moments with all of you! Enjoy!

Good Morning, Beautiful

A wonderful thing about waking up early in the morning is the sun and light is so different. The fog has yet to dissipate and the light that comes through is like no other. When I woke up this morning and I saw this beauty shining in through the back windows and went straight for my camera. I hope my neighbors weren’t too offended that I was still in my nightclothes! icon wink Good Morning, Beautiful

My new Facebook FaaaanPage!

I was not sure the extent of the response I would get from having a fan page on facebook, but it has definitely served me well. It’s so easy for everyone to leave comments on the images I post and for me to reply. I just love it. I check it almost daily (a little OCD actually) to see how many fans I am up to and who’s new to my page! I just absolutely love the support. Thank you to all who are already a fan, and I hope my posts serve you well. I will continue to strive to make them better and better ~ as well as my photography.
xoxo,
