Beris Family Fall Portraits

We met up at our local park, Fort Island Griffith’s Park, to get these awesome sunset fall family portraits. I love the way the setting sun’s light illuminates them in a few of these! I was so happy with the way they turned out. I mentioned to my friend Adriane, the mom, that her outfit choice is giving off a Schitt’s Creek vibe. She hadn’t seen the show, so she didn’t get the reference, but it’s definitely a compliment! I’m loving the crisp black and white choice against the warmth of the background!

Happening this weekend only at Fort Island (Griffith’s) Park, in Fairlawn, grab your fall photography slot now! Each shoot is 20 minutes long and in a few different parts of the park to guarantee a nice variety!

Each session is $99 and includes 5 edited high resolution digital portraits that you choose.

Thompson Twins Takeover!

A couple weeks ago, Tamika, the beautiful mama of these adorable twins, graced my studio. We briefly chatted about twin motherhood while trying to navigate keeping the attention of two very mobile 1 year olds. The twins were precious, especially when mama put them in their princess dresses and furry boots! <3

Interesting fact about these two: they are the same kind of twins as my daughters. It is a very common misconception that all twins that are in two separate sacs (Di-Di diamniotic/dichorionic) are automatically fraternal. These two were di/di and mama decided to have their DNA tested to see if they were in fact identical or fraternal. Everyone tried telling her that since they were two separate sacs, they were definitely fraternal, but mama knew better…I mean LOOK at them! Sure enough, they came back with the same DNA, making the 100% identical even though they were in two separate sacs just like fraternal twins. #nowyouknow !!!

Gavin stole Santa’s cookie!

Sweet Gavin is back to visit the studio again, only this time he stole a cookie! What a sweet, fun little boy! And, note to self, always bride toddlers with chocolate chip cookies and they’ll definitely cooperate! He was great!

My Brother’s Family Maternity Session!

This was an exceptionally special shoot for me because this is my brother’s family! Brittany is finally pregnant with a girl! We are expecting her in the very near future (as you can see)! Keep an eye out for a post with a sweet precious little newborn baby girl! (I wonder if they will name her Wynona — since the boys are named Wyatt and Wade. 😉 )

Fresh 48 – Welcome new baby!

Mom and dad waited a long time for this little rainbow baby to arrive. He is pure joy and happiness to this family. This little guy was born with stork kisses on his eyelids, which eventually fades away. Babies are often born with unique markings after they make their way through their often difficult journey of birth.

When I was editing this Fresh 48 photography session, I was having a hard time keeping my eyes dry. These are friends of mine and this has been a long journey for them to become parents. I couldn’t be happier for them.

Don’t ever edit out those wrinkles and dry skin off newborns. It won’t last long, but it is an accurate depiction of newborn babies. I try to capture these details with all my Fresh 48 photography sessions, in Akron.
